What this error means
If a merchant sees any of the following errors when generating a return label:
“Invalid Mobile Phone Number” (Evri)
“PHONENUMBER.EMPTY: Phone number is empty. Please update and try again” (FedEx)
“FedEx returned error: RequestedShipment Recipient contact - phoneNumber is required” (FedEx)
it means the merchant’s company profile is missing a valid phone number on the shipper or return address.
Carriers use this phone number for shipment validation and label creation.
How to fix it
In the Swap portal, go to Settings → Company Details
Add a valid phone number for the business
Use international phone number format, including the country code
Save the changes
Retry generating the label
