This error occurs when UPS cannot generate a label because one or more products are missing a valid country of origin.

Error message

"Invalid or missing product origin country code for product number 1"

What this means

UPS requires a valid country of origin for all items in an international shipment. The product is either missing this information or has an invalid value.

How to fix it

  1. Open the product in the merchant catalog.

  2. Add a valid country of origin using a 2-letter ISO country code (for example, GB for United Kingdom or US for United States).

  3. Save the product changes.

  4. Regenerate the label.
