Klaviyo Integration

The Klaviyo integration allows you to replace Swap’s default email service with Klaviyo, so you can use your own flows, segmentation, and templates for all return-related emails.

Once connected, Swap sends return events to Klaviyo. These appear as custom metrics and can be used to trigger automated flows and personalised messaging.


Requirements

To use the Klaviyo integration, you need:

  • A Klaviyo account

  • A Klaviyo API key

  • Swap Returns V2 enabled

  • The Klaviyo integration enabled on your store (Swap Support can activate this)


How the integration works

Swap sends events to Klaviyo whenever key actions occur in the returns flow.

If Klaviyo Email Management is enabled, these events are sent instead of Swap’s native return emails.

This allows you to:

  • Trigger Klaviyo flows based on return activity

  • Control email content and timing from Klaviyo

  • Personalise messaging using return data


Key events

Swap sends the following events to Klaviyo:

  • Return Created – when a return is submitted

  • Return Processed – when a return is processed (refund, exchange, QC update)

  • Return Tracking Update – when tracking status changes

  • Return Delivered – when the return is delivered

Each event appears in Klaviyo as a custom metric and can be used in flows, segmentation, and conditional logic.
