Manually Setting a Domestic Shipping Zone

By default, Swap determines the domestic shipping zone based on your store’s registered physical address. This can create problems if you operate fulfilment centres in another country and need that country treated as their domestic market.

For example, if your store address is in Country A but you ship from a warehouse in Country B, Swap will normally treat Country A as the domestic zone.

To override this behaviour:

  1. Go to Shipping in the Swap admin.

  2. Create or edit a shipping zone.

  3. Add the fulfilment country.

  4. In the zone name, include the word ‘domestic’.

    Example: Domestic - Germany

This tells Swap to treat the zone as domestic, regardless of the store’s registered address.

Note:

  • Only one domestic zone can be active at a time.

  • This does not require changing your Shopify billing address or primary location.
