ℹ️ To create a new shipping zone or import one from Shopify, see How to create a shipping zone.

ℹ️ Shipping zones vs pricing zones: Shipping zones define the regions you ship to and control which carriers, rates, and rules apply. Pricing zones define how products are priced in those markets. They work together but are configured separately in Swap.

For background on what shipping zones are and how they work, see Understanding shipping zones.

Adding countries to an existing zone

If you're expanding to a new country and its shipping rules match an existing zone, add it to that zone rather than creating a new one.

  1. Select the shipping zone.

  2. Open the Countries dropdown, search or browse for the country, and select it.

  3. Click Save.

Activating and deactivating a zone

To pause shipping to a zone without deleting it, deactivate it. Countries in a deactivated zone fall back to Shopify's default shipping rates. Changes take effect immediately.

To deactivate:

  1. Select the zone.

  2. Click Deactivate Zone, then Save Changes.

To reactivate:

  1. Select the zone.

  2. Click Activate Zone, then Save Changes.

Deleting a zone

Deleting an active zone first deactivates it, then removes it entirely. Countries in the deleted zone will no longer have their shipping rates supplied by Swap Global.

⚠️ Deletion is permanent. Deactivate instead if you may need the zone again.

  1. Select the zone.

  2. Click Delete Zone and confirm.

Troubleshooting

If you're having trouble modifying a shipping zone:

  1. Make sure you're on the latest version of the app.

  2. Delete any Global apps with your brand's name.

  3. Reinstall the Swap Global app.
