To start using Swap Global, install the Swap Global app in your Shopify store. Once installed, Swap Global connects to your store and prepares the dashboard.
Install the Swap Global app
Go to the Shopify App Store.
Search for Swap Global.
Click Install.
Review the permissions requested by Shopify.
Click Install app to confirm.
Once installation is complete, Shopify redirects you to the Swap dashboard to create an account. Swap Global automatically connects to your Shopify store during this step.
We recommend saving the Swap dashboard as a bookmark so you can easily access it later. Using Open app within Shopify can cause the app to reinstall or re-trigger the onboarding flow.
What happens after installation
After the app is opened for the first time:
Your Shopify store is automatically detected.
Your onboarding manager will help you get set up with Swap Global.
The Swap dashboard becomes available for configuration.
Updating the app
Some features require the Swap Global app to be updated so that it can access additional store information. You will be notified when an update is needed.
To update the app:
In your Shopify admin, click Settings in the bottom left of the screen.
Click the Apps tab in the sidebar.
Click Swap Global in the list.
Click Open app in the top right.
Click Update.
If an update is available, an update screen appears before you are taken to the dashboard. Click Update in the bottom right to apply it. Once the update is complete, Shopify redirects you to the Swap dashboard.
If no update screen appears, the app is already up to date and you are taken directly to the Swap dashboard.
