Label error — No nearby DHL drop-off location

DHL label error caused by no supported drop-off location near the customer's postcode. Learn how to switch carrier or use a DHL collection service.

Written by Jemma O'Leary

This error occurs when DHL cannot find a supported drop-off location near the customer's postcode. It usually means DHL does not have drop-off coverage in that area.

Error message

"Multiple problems found, see Additional Details" (where the additional details reference a drop-off location issue)

What this means

DHL could not find a supported service point near the customer's postcode. This usually happens when:

  • DHL does not offer drop-off coverage in that area

  • the postcode is outside DHL's supported service point network

  • no nearby drop-off locations are currently available

How to fix it

Choose one of the following options.

Option 1: Switch to a different carrier

Switch to a carrier with better drop-off coverage in the customer's area, such as Royal Mail or Evri. This is usually the quickest resolution.

Option 2: Use a DHL collection service

If available, switch from a DHL drop-off service to a DHL collection service. With a collection service, DHL collects the parcel directly from the customer rather than requiring a nearby drop-off point.

Before retrying with DHL

Check the DHL service point finder to confirm whether drop-off coverage exists for the customer's postcode before generating a new label.

If the issue continues

Contact support with the RMA ID and the customer's postcode.
