This article explains how to reopen a closed RMA and return it to an editable state.

Reopen RMA is available under More Actions when the RMA meets the required conditions. Not all closed RMAs can be reopened. An audit trail is maintained for all reopen actions.

Note: If the Reopen RMA option is not visible for a specific RMA, that RMA does not meet the conditions required for reopening.

When to use Reopen RMA

Typical scenarios include:

  • An incorrect resolution was applied, for example a refund was issued instead of an exchange

  • Information needs to be corrected after the RMA was closed

  • A dispute needs to be resolved after closure

How to reopen an RMA

  1. Open the RMA in the Returns dashboard.

  2. Click More Actions.

  3. Click Reopen RMA.

The RMA is returned to an editable state. All previous data is preserved and a log note is added to the audit trail.
