This article explains what each option in the More Actions menu on an RMA does, and links to full instructions for using each one.
The More Actions menu in the Returns dashboard provides additional tools for managing return merchandise authorisations (RMAs). The options available depend on the current status and type of the RMA.
Edit variant
Edit Variant lets you change the variant of an exchange item on an open RMA without deleting and resubmitting the return. It is available for open RMAs that include an exchange (such as refund and exchange, credit and exchange, or equal exchange), but not for Instant Exchange RMAs. Any price difference between variants cannot be charged to or refunded to the customer at the time of the change.
For full instructions, see How to edit an exchange item on an open RMA.
Remove exchange item
Remove Exchange Item allows you to remove an exchange item from an open RMA without deleting and recreating the return. This is one of several exchange item actions available on an open RMA, alongside editing the variant and adding a new item.
For full instructions, see How to edit an exchange item on an open RMA.
Put RMA on hold
Put RMA on hold pauses an open RMA so it cannot be processed or deleted while it's under review. It can be removed once the review is complete, returning the RMA to an open state.
For full instructions, see Putting an RMA on hold.
Reopen RMA
Reopen RMA allows you to reopen a closed RMA and return it to an editable state. It is available under More Actions when the RMA meets the required conditions. Not all closed RMAs can be reopened.
For full instructions, see Reopening an RMA.
Delete RMA
Delete RMA permanently removes a return request and is only available for RMAs where the customer has not yet shipped the item (pre-transit status).
For full instructions, see Deleting a Return (Returns V2).
