Label error — FedEx — Service type not supported

FedEx label error caused by the selected service not being available for the shipment route or destination. Learn how to switch to a supported service.

Written by Jemma O'Leary

This error occurs when the selected FedEx service is not available for the shipment route or destination.

Error message

"REQUESTEDSHIPMENT.SERVICETYPE.NOTSUPPORTED"

What this means

The FedEx service selected for this return does not support the origin or destination country. Not all FedEx services are available for all routes. FedEx International Connect Plus (FICP) is currently unavailable for shipments to certain regions, including Turkey and the GCC/Middle East (e.g., Dubai, Saudi Arabia). This unavailability is due to service suspensions implemented by FedEx for these destinations.

Regions Affected

  • Turkey: FICP is not supported for shipments to Turkey.

  • GCC/Middle East: This includes destinations such as Dubai and Saudi Arabia, where FICP service has been suspended.

How to fix it

  1. Open the RMA.

  2. Change to a different FedEx service that supports the route, such as FedEx International Priority or FedEx International Economy, or select an alternative carrier.

  3. Regenerate the label.

If the issue continues

Contact support with the RMA ID, origin and destination countries, and a screenshot of the error. If switching services is not feasible, you may choose to hold the shipment until FICP service resumes. Note that FedEx has not provided a specific timeframe for when the service will be reinstated.
