This article explains the two Swap Global checkout extensions for Shopify Plus — Order Summary Breakdown and Shipping Line Breakdown — what they display, how they're configured, and how to add them.

Overview
Swap Global offers two checkout extensions that make duties, taxes, and shipping costs fully transparent to customers at checkout:
Order Summary Breakdown — displays a clear breakdown of duties, taxes, and fees in the order summary, with optional reassurance messaging.
Shipping Line Breakdown — shows duties, taxes, and fees directly beneath each shipping option.
Together, these extensions reassure customers that there are no surprise charges on delivery, helping reduce cart abandonment and improve checkout trust.
Order Summary Breakdown extension
This extension integrates directly into the Order Summary section of Shopify Checkout.
Breakdown display
When enabled, a detailed breakdown appears in the order summary. You can:
Add a custom banner title and description
Choose an icon style for the banner (info, warning, success, etc.)
Make the order summary description collapsible for a cleaner checkout view
Add optional info text below the summary
Alert banner
Add a banner above the checkout flow to communicate important messages such as:
Delivery warnings
Incorrect address reminders
Market-specific alerts
Trust reassurance (e.g. No surprise fees at delivery)
Configuration
In the Shopify Checkout Editor, you can:
Toggle the extension on or off
Add custom messaging
Make the summary collapsible

Shipping Line Breakdown extension
When enabled, this extension displays duties and taxes directly beneath the selected shipping line, with reassurance messaging.
Configuration
In the Shopify Checkout Editor, toggle the extension on or off.

Customers selecting a shipping method see:
Shipping cost (€10.00)
Taxes (€70.52)
Duties & Fees (€35.43)
A reassurance message confirming the total landed cost with no extra customs charges on delivery
How to add checkout extensions
In your Shopify Admin, go to Settings → Checkout.
Under Checkout configuration, click Customize.
In the Checkout Editor, open the Order Summary section.
Click Add App Block and select Order Summary Breakdown or Shipping Line Breakdown.
Save your changes in the top-right corner.
