This article explains how to configure the Swap Magento Extension on a Magento 2 instance after installation.
Before you start
The Swap Magento Extension must be installed before starting. If installation is still pending, refer to the developer installation guide.
Step 1: Enable the Swap module
Log in to your Magento Admin Panel.
Go to Stores → Configuration → Sales → Swap.
Set Enable Module to Yes.
In the Admin Email in Swap field, enter the email address of the merchant admin account.
Click Save Config.
After saving, Swap automatically creates an account for the provided admin email. The Swap onboarding team will contact you shortly to assist with the remaining onboarding steps. To schedule onboarding proactively, you can book a demo.
Step 2: Configure shipping carriers
Important: Complete this step only after the Swap onboarding team has contacted you. Configuring shipping before onboarding may prevent the Swap shipping module from functioning correctly.
In the Magento Admin Panel, go to Stores → Configuration → Sales → Delivery Methods.
Disable all non-Swap shipping carriers.
Ensure the Swap Shipping Module is enabled.
The default shipping rate is set to 20 units of your store's currency. To adjust this, contact Swap Support.
Note: The Swap shipping module will only function after your merchant account has been activated by the Swap Operations team.
Disabling the extension
Go to Stores → Configuration → Sales → Delivery Methods.
Disable the Swap Shipping Module.
Re-enable any alternative shipping carriers as needed.
