We’ve launched an integration with Shiptheory where Swap functions as a carrier. This guide explains how to connect your Swap account in Shiptheory and start using it for your shipments.

Before you start

To connect Swap as a carrier in Shiptheory, you’ll need your Swap Commerce API User and API Token.

If you don’t have these credentials yet, please contact your Swap Onboarding or Account Manager or reach out to support through the contact widget.

Step 1: Add Swap Commerce to your Shiptheory account

  1. In your Shiptheory dashboard, go to Carriers and click Manage Carriers.

  2. Under Connect a new carrier account, search for Swap Commerce or scroll down until you find it.

  3. Click the green plus (+) icon to add it.

Step 2: Enter your Swap Commerce details

You’ll be redirected to a settings page where you can enter your Swap credentials.

Fill in the following fields:

  • Swap Commerce API User – provided by Swap

  • Swap Commerce API Token – provided by Swap

  • Auth Company – optional (only required for certain courier setups)

  • Default Package Dimensions – enter your standard width, length, and height in centimetres

  • Collection Cutoff Time – enter the daily cutoff time for collections

Step 3: Test your connection

Once all fields are complete:

  1. Click Test Connection to ensure your credentials are correct.

  2. If successful, you’ll see a green tick and the message Everything looks good.

  3. Click Save to finish the setup.

Step 4: Start shipping with Swap

Your Swap Commerce carrier connection is now ready to use. You can begin assigning Swap as your carrier for applicable shipments within Shiptheory.
