The Default Locations feature allows you to manage inventory more effectively by specifying default locations for product exchanges and restocking.
This guide will walk you through default locations and help you decide whether to enable this feature for your store.
Default Location for Restocking Returned Items
This feature lets you specify where returned products will be restocked, ensuring better control over your inventory flow.
Setting the Default Restocking Location
Access the Setting: Navigate to: Settings > General > Locations > Restocking Default Location
This section will also be empty by default.
Choose Your Restocking Location: Similar to the exchange setting, we will pull locations from your Shopify account so you can select your preferred restocking location.
Restocking Process:
If a specific location is chosen, returned products will be restocked there, regardless of where the original order was fulfilled.
If no location is specified, the product will be restocked at the original fulfilment location.
